IQBAL PALLAM
Iqbal, hailing from Pallam in Kasaragod district, Kerala, India, is an avid traveller, passionate photographer, writer, and lifelong football enthusiast. With over 25 years of experience living and working in Abu Dhabi, he has balanced his professional life with an active football career, having played for prominent clubs across Kerala, Mumbai, and Qatar, and is still active on the field.
His wanderlust began in his school days and has since taken him on memorable journeys across India, the UAE, Oman, and numerous European and Asian countries.
While this travelogue focuses on his adventures in Austria and Slovenia, it also weaves in vivid reflections from his travels through Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and the Netherlands. Iqbal’s extensive explorations extend to England, Belgium, France, Hungary, Slovakia, Bhutan, and Azerbaijan, among others.
His earlier travel writings include a photo-rich travelogue on Bhutan featured in a leading Malayalam travel magazine, and his Malayalam travel book Manju Pathakal Then Bharanikal, which garnered wide acclaim. Through his storytelling, Iqbal invites readers to experience the beauty, culture, and spirit of the places he has explored.
