The fireflies buzzed over Fiona’s head.
It shimmered; it shined.
A little firefly landed on the stubby
palms of Fiona. It reminded her of the
nostalgic moments with her dad years
ago. Until… he left.

She closed her eyes and wished.
Wishing on a little firefly.
Her life was more miserable
than it ever was.
I mean, it doesn’t even work.
