The Ultimate Weapon
(A MYTHO-SCI-FI-THRILLER)
MC HARIDASAN
It begins with a handful of dust in the ancient rocks of Coimbatore. It ends with a conspiracy that could reshape the world. When scientist Vishnuvardhan uncovers a mysterious particle defying every known rule of physics, he realises he holds the key to an invention of unimaginable power. But a secret this profound cannot be contained. Almost overnight, Vishnuvardhan is violently pulled into a high-stakes game of survival that spans the globe. With the crosshairs always on him, his frantic escape sweeps from the quiet origins of Coimbatore and the corridors of Bangalore to the classified atomic labs of Tokyo and CERN, and the syndicate-controlled streets of Geneva.
To protect his discovery, he must orchestrate an impossible plan. The forces hunting him will stop at nothing to control the future of humanity. In a relentless, fast-paced game of geopolitical chess, Vishnuvardhan must stay one step ahead of the enemy that owns the board. Will he survive long enough to deliver the truth to the world, or will he and his world-altering invention be buried forever?
Divine Particle: The Ultimate Weapon is a breathless, gripping thriller in which ancient mysteries and modern science collide in a way never seen before.

Foreword
Sometimes the strict rules of science collide with something older and far harder to explain. In his debut novel, Divine Particle: The Ultimate Weapon, MC Haridasan attempts to cross that exact boundary. By weaving together hard science fiction, rich mythology and an unspoken cosmic design, he delivers a thriller that keeps you hooked from the get-go.
A great thriller needs more than just a fast-moving plot. It also needs to feel real. What gives this story its quiet authority is how Haridasan cleverly weaves his deep background in aviation into his protagonist’s DNA, making the character feel real and authentic before the nail-biting mystery takes over. Because you buy into those real-world details, you willingly follow him when the story scales up into a global mystery.
The narrative takes a hard look at human ambition and the lengths people will go to in order to secure unimaginable power. For decades, global dominance has been defined by weapons of mass destruction. This story shatters that comfortable assumption, daring to ask humanity a much deeper question about the true nature of power.
The action jumps from the ancient landscapes of Coimbatore to the sterile, high-tech labs of Geneva. But even as the scope widens, the focus stays on the people. These characters are chasing truth, but they are also dragging the heavy baggage of their own pasts.
Even while exploring complex science fiction concepts, the narrative is crafted to be easily understood by the everyday reader, ensuring the technical details never slow down its gripping momentum. Throughout the story, Haridasan’s great eye for detail puts you right there in the scene, whether it is an airport hangar, a tense backroom meeting or a dangerous escape.
This is a well-written mythological sci-fi thriller about the things we try to control, and the secrets people will kill to protect. It is the kind of story that will keep you turning the pages late into the night and leave you looking at the world a little differently the next morning.

When we imagine a story, we often picture the finished book, rarely grasping the sheer weight of what it actually takes to build it from nothing. Going through this journey has taught me that writing is less about sudden flashes of inspiration and more about quiet, relentless endurance to always keep going. Bringing this book into the world has been a four-year effort. It is the result of countless late nights spent researching, reading, writing, and then rewriting all over again. Building these characters and shaping their world took immense time, patience, and energy. Seeing the pages finally come together makes every single one of those sleepless nights completely worth it, and I am deeply grateful to everyone who helped cross the finish line.
I dedicate this book to my wife, AC Hitha. She has been my absolute pillar of support for nearly four decades. We have been through thick and thin together, and she never once stopped believing in me. She gave me the quiet time, the space, and the courage I needed to write. I simply could never have done this without her by my side.
My family has been my greatest anchor throughout this entire process. I am incredibly thankful to my younger son, Sabari Saran, for sitting down with the manuscript and patiently helping with the edits. My elder son, Sabari Harsh, and his wife, Sneha DS, provided constant encouragement that kept me going when the writing got tough. I am also endlessly grateful to have my wonderful granddaughter, Anvika, in my life, who lights up our world with her sweet smile. Her innocent, curious questioning was exactly what I needed sometimes to approach the plot through a lens of simplicity. The love I receive from my family is what truly makes me who I am today. I also want to sincerely thank my elder son’s in-laws, Mr Dharmendra Kumar and Mrs Sharmila Anand, for taking the time to read the initial drafts and provide honest feedback.
A very special mention goes out to the friends who have been incredibly supportive from day one. Mr Rajeevan P, Mr MPG Nair, and Mr Mukundan Madathil have always been in my corner, cheering me on.
I owe a massive thank you to Anantha Narayanan, sir, who stepped in at a crucial time to offer feedback that shaped the story for the better and also graciously agreed to write the Foreword for this novel.
My heartfelt thanks to the team at Lipi Publications for believing in this story and patiently guiding the process as we put this book together.
Above all, I bow my head in gratitude to the Almighty for giving me the strength, clarity, and perseverance to see this dream through. It is entirely by His grace that these words finally found their way onto the page.
To you, the reader, thank you for picking up this book. I sincerely hope you find as much joy and thrill in experiencing this journey as I found in creating it.

Chapter I
After completing a physical frisking at the security area, I collected my boarding pass and proceeded to the hand baggage screening section. Upon scanning, my handbag and laptop were separated and placed on a table. When I enquired with the security officer stationed near the scanner about my bag, he insisted I open it.
As I unzipped the bag, he began questioning me rather assertively. “You have a glass container filled with a powdery substance. The X-ray scanner showed something unusual on the monitor.” The image froze: an ominous silhouette, starkly dense and cloud-like, appeared against the X-ray scan’s translucent, skeletal greys.
